E. DeForest of Farmington, died Thursday, January 21, 1954, in Bonne Terre Hospital, following an operation which she had undergone on Monday. The former Irene V. Trusty, she was born in Oscar [Texas County], Mo., December 16, 1877, daughter of the late Thomas and Henrietta (Williams) Trusty, and at the time of death was 76 years 1 month 5 days of age. She was married at Licking, Mo., on October 29, 1899 to W. E. DeForest, who with their two sons, Bill and Frank of Farmington, survives. She also leaves a brother, Lochiel Trusty of Doe Run and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Cozean Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. W. E. Hicks, pastor of the Esther Baptist Church. A second service was held Sunday morning at the Boone Creek Baptist Church at Licking with interment in the Licking cemetery.
