I'm not sure why they were in St. Francois Co but his family lived in Clinton Twp., Texas Co., and later moved into Mountain Grove in Wright County. My grandmother left that place for Springfield MO. Your Lewis Sanders, like my ancestor, was a son of Cornelius Sanders and Matilda Jane McIntosh. Their tombstones are in Stubbs Cemetery in Clinton Township.
