James is my Great Grandfather, and his mother was Rebecca GRIFFIN b. c 1823 in TN. Rebecca and James were enumerated in the 1850 Texas Co., MO census with James and Margaret CHAMBERS. Rebecca was enumerated by herself and not with her son James 1 month earlier with her sister Julia Ann VANHOOSER and Wilson VANHOOSER in Hickman Co., TN. Wilson VANHOOSER filed for petition of divorce from Julia Ann VANHOOSER in April 1853 in MO. I have no knowledge or documentation to support if they had children in this marriage, but c 1854-1855 Wilson and Rebecca married and had the following children: 1.Sarah C b. Nov 1855 MO md Peter O SKYLES [ they had no children of their own, but did help raise Sarah's sister children. ] 2. Isaac Russell S b. I do not know when Rebecca died or if she remarried after WILLIAMS death. Any information about who the father of James HUTCHISON was and who Rebecca's mother and father was would be greatly appreciated. I have documentation to share on these families.
