It is a long story. I do not know if I am related to the Stubbs family. My name was Hale when I was born in 1953. My father died young and my name was changed. In the 1850 census of Greene County, Missouri (this part of the county later became Christian County, MO), one of your ancestors, Jesse Stubbs, was living next door to one of my ancestors, Reuben Hail/Hale. Reuben named one of his sons "Jesse Stubbs Hail". I have always wondered if Reuben was a relative of this original Jesse. Jesse later moved to Texas County and lived in Clinton Township. He had a huge family. That is why I am interested in your family. I am hoping that I can prove one way or the other if I am related to the Stubbs family. I hope that you can help me.
