Thomas Louis(Lewis) was the youngest of the Parker brothers. He first married Easter Cantrell. Sometime after 1855 the Parkers left Tennessee enmasse. Two sisters: Sary Luceyan who married Thomas Ready. and Martha Parker who married a Pennington. It is believe his first name was Thomas. The Parkers were said to have gone to Ill. before coming to Missouri but I have not found land records. Several things occured in Tennessee that may have prompted their move to greener pastures. First Levi Parker their father died in1839 and their mother Sara Bragg sold the homestead to Edward Bragg. Sarah died soon after Levi but the court records continued after her death. It seems Edward didn't pay Sarah so her second son John Wesley went to court to try and rectify things. He was declared a pauper and not allowed to proceed. he evidently found monetary backing(it is presumed from his grandfather Dozier Bragg who! se property was adjacent to Levi and Sarah's) and went for forward with the lawsuit. After Levi's death an administrator was appointed by the court and he and Edward were sued and found liable. Also Charity Sauls wife of Cornelious died during childbirth around 1855. They had a daughter living in 1850 but was not enumerated in 1860 In Texas co., Mo. Cornelious had remarried to a Mary A age 21 from Tennessee ad that is all we know about her. In the late 1850's Dozier Franklin the third son brought Sarah Pennington from Ill to live with Cornelious. She is also enumerated on the 1870 census. Their grandfather had died in 1853 and with the deaths and lawsuits among family members they may have had some money and decided this was the time for a new start. The Parkers were clanish and stuck together. But afterCornelious and John Wesley were murdered in 1863 Dozier must have gone back to Ill because on the 1870 census it appears to of his children were born there during this time! . Thomas remarried Caroline Bradshaw a neighbor. Her formal name Was M ary Caroline. She was considerably younger than Thomas and they had a second family. Finally they move to Texas and aftersome moves ended up in Brown co., Texas where he died around 1809. He is buried there. Dozier stayed in Arkansas and is buried at Brentwood cemetery in Washington co., Arkansas. The LDS records show Thomas in Barry co., Mo. in 1870 but I have not been able to find anything about his where abouts in 1870. Nor have I been able to find Sarah Pennington. Just a few years latter she married a man name Huddleston. They had a passel of kids and ended up in Texas. My ggrandfather was the youngest son of Cornelious and I cannot acount for him in 1870. The older children are in Maries co. Sary Luceyan died at ayoung age of T B in 1870 but the two Parker boys's Henry and Levi remained closely connected with Thomas and his two sons Levi and Isaac Ready. John David must not been far away because he married a neighbor in 1877. I think I wrote that I have copies of two! pages from Thomas's Bible. I have quite a lot on Thomas so if you let me know which child you are descended from I can send you what I have. I know less about Dozier's family than any of the rest. He had a daughter E C born inlate 1861. I have wondered if this was a memorial name and Easter died in 1861 instead of 1862. E C stood for Easter Contrell....Columbus' (he dropped the William but name his son William Columbus) tombstone says 1862 but when you are orphaned it is not always easy to know details...I hope this helps to start you on your way. Jim Heady
