AP Freeman, his wife and supposedly 13 of their family members including children and various spouses and their families moved to the Ozark/Douglas Co. area around 1850. A bunch of those people show up in the 1860 Douglas Co. census along with my ggg-grandfather, Rev. Humphrey Posey Freeman. Someone mentioned to me that speculation is that my HP Freeman is the grandson of Aaron and Allabeth through their first son Moses (Green) Freeman. I'm wondering if the Moses Freeman in the Texas Co. 1860 census is Aaron and Allabeth's son. Everything I've found says Moses Green Freeman was b. about 1807 in North Carolina, but no one has actually provided proof of that. I think the speculation there is that Aaron and Allabeth were married in 1807. Aaron was married once before and had a son and daughter born bet. 1800 and 1804 and it is possible that Moses is that son. I know that a Rev. Posey Freeman founded a! baptist church in 1859 near Cabool in Texas Co. I have no proof yet but I think that Rev. Posey Freeman is actually HP Freeman. This family line originated in the Buncombe county North Carolina area. Some of the family members are very easy to trace, others are not, but links can be made through process of elimination, coinicidences, and similarities. Is there anyone else -- other Freeman's -- listed in that census?
