    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GILLY, HOWELL, CORBETT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kNB.2ACI/1555 Message Board Post: I'm trying to track down information about Albert M. HOWELL, James S. CORBETT, and Andrew Jackson "Jack" GILLY/GILLEY. The first two are my maternal great-grandfathers and Jack is my maternal gggrandfather. I have the following information: Albert Howell b. abt 1874 in Missouri, married Anna Boyce, d.o. Samuel Woodson Boyce and Susan Lucy Summers. Albert and Anna are listed in the 1920 census for Houston city with their two teenage daughters. Albert indicates that he and his parents were all born in Missouri. He doesn't seem to be listed in the 1900 or 1910 censuses for Houston, though, and I can't find names for his parents. James S. Corbett, b. abt. 1866 in Illinois, married Laura J. Gilly, d.o. Andrew Jackson Gilly and Malissa Shipp, on 22 Apr. 1889 in Crittenden Co., Arkansas. James and family are listed in 1900, 1910, and 1920 censuses for Houston, but I'm not finding much other information about him. According to a family story he received railroad benefits. He was a jeweler and farmer according to both census and family lore. Andrew Jackson Gilly married Malissa Shipp 9 Apr 1868 in Texas County and is listed with her in the 1870 (as Jack Gilly)and 1880 (as A.J. Gilley) censuses for Jackson Twp. Curiously, in the 1870 census Jack claims to have been born in Tennessee, but in the 1880 census he claims to have been born in Alabama. The only Jackson Gilly I've found of about the right age is one born in Henry Co., VA to Leftwich and Mary Gilley (Jack claimed his mother was born in VA). It appears that Jack had died or disappeared by 1886; Malissa is shown in the 1900 census as the wife of George Worlow for 14 years. Any light anyone can shed on any of these three fellas would be most appreciated.
