Vickie, I saw your listing for Samuel Morris WILLIAMS, father-in-law of your grandmother Sarah Ann (Hobough) Williams, on Rootsweb's World Connect. I am interested in the Williams surname (esp in the Roubidoux area) in Texas Co. I am not a descendent of Williams, but am looking for descendents of John Williams and his second wife, Armazinda Frances (Fannie) Williams of Upton Twp. Frances Wallace Williams was sister to my great-grandmother and according to the 1900 census, married John about 1872. On the 1880 Texas CO census, there are several children who appear to have been born in a previous marriage. Among them is a Samuel, age 17. Could this be your Samuel? His father John was born in IL. Other children in the family are: Charles (b.c1870), Walter (b. c 1873 - could be 1872 and last of first marriage children), Alice (b. c 1878 - probably first of Frances' children), Edgar (b. Mar 1880), Frank (b. Feb 1885), Martin (b. Feb 1885), Elizabeth (b. June 1889), Frances (b. Dec 1894). Do any of these names sound familiar to you? Any help you have in tracking this family would be greatly appreciated. All that is left of my great-grandmother's descendents is my immediate family and our line left Texas Co. in 1902.
