Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kNB.2ACI/1591 Message Board Post: Unknown Paper, Jan. 1992 Richard Fry ROBY, Mo. -- Richard Leroy Fry, 55, formerly of the Durant/Wilton area where he lived for 25 years, died Jan. 27, 1992 at his home in Roby. He was born April 17, 1936, in Muscatine, a son of Roy and Dorothy Stanbro Fry. He married Sandra Marsh on March 8, 1954 in Muscatine. The couple lived in the Wilton area where they operated a dairy farm. He served on the extension council and other agriculture related positions. They moved to Missouri in 1985 and to the Roby area near their daughter last year after selling their dairy farm, in the Number One community. He was leader of the Sugar Creek Challengers 4-H Club for many years and was very active in the Ayrshire dairy cattle breed association. The body was cremated. No services are planned. Arrangements were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Roby Christian Church, Roby, Mo. 65557, of which he was a member. Survivors include his wife, Sandra, HCR1 Box 116, Roby, Mo. 65557; three sons Timothy of Hartville, James of Lampe, and Daniel of Fort Riley, Kan.; three daughters Jeri Lynn Schenkel of Wilton; Brenda Brawley of Lynchburg, and Kimberly Murry of Roby; his mother, Dorothy Stanbro of Muscatine; three brothers, Donald of Rochester, Minn., Eugene of Dallas, Texas, and Louis of Muscatine, and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Haully.
