    3. Hi Lisa: I'm sorry if my posting misled you into thinking that I have the microfilm...I received 7 rolls of film through interlibrary loan, they were returned some weeks ago. Did you take a minute to check out the web site address I posted? You can see more clearly what might be there from the description offered by the Western Historical Manuscripts Collection. As I mentioned, there are 38 notebooks and, as far, as I could tell, the typed index was not complete for all 38. While working with them, I found many names in the notebooks that do not occur on the typed index which was prepared for the microfilming. In fact, it appears to relate only to the first couple of notebooks. Nevertheless, there are 74 Keeney's on this typed index. None, however, are for Bluford A or Eliza J. There are four listings in the index for Abner Martin Keeney, two of them are for a man born 1870 and two for a man married 1894. I assume, but don't know, that they all refer to the same individual but may be different information since three locations in the records are noted. Since I don't have access to the microfilm anymore, I don't know anything more about him. Because so much data in these notebooks is not indexed in an easily accessible manner, it will take you a while to find what's there that might relate to your family but you may find i! t well worth the effort. Much of it appeared to be the type of info that would not be found outside family records. For example: "John Langdon Taylor, was born in Rutherford Co. NC Dec 20th 1822. Died ner Rock Spring Church in Texas Co. Mo, April 13th 1880 aged 57 ys, 3 ms, & 23 ds. Martha Elizabeth (McCurrey) wife of John L. Taylor was born in Rutherford Co. NC Oct 10th 1831. They were married in Rutherford Co. NC Feb 8th 1849. Their Children 2 oldest born in Sainte Genevieve Co, Mo. 3d 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th born in St Francois Co. Mo. 9th born in Phelps Co Mo. all the rest were born at the Homestead near (Blank area) PO in Texas Co, Mo." After this are listed all their children, including Elizabeth Ellen who died at 6 ys.7ms & 25 ds. and Jonah, died, aged 4 days. I hope this example gives you an idea of the kind of records that can be found in this collection of 38 notebooks, if you happen to be lucky..... I was wondering if you are able to do a lookup for me, if you could tell me anything about Bluford A. and Eliza J. Keeney's family. His father was Abner Keeney, also of Licking. Thank you for any help you can give me. Lisa [email protected]
