I just recently discovered her death certificate online and see that it was her mother who had the maiden name of PREWITT (or PRUITT). Since Nancy's husband provided the information to complete the death certificate, I have to accept that we've been mistaken. Since I'm among those who have contributed to circulating the incorrect maiden name, I thought I should post the note among your online genealogical database (and others) so the corrected maiden name would start getting out to genealogists.
