MO cemetery books. This is what it reads for the Mount Olive Cemetery: Take Highway 63 NORTH to highway U. Turn RIGHT onto highway U. Go to highway 137. Turn LEFT onto highway 137 and go to highway Y. Turn RIGHT onto highway Y. Go to the SECOND gravel road AFTER passing Clear Springs. Take this gravel road to a "T" in the road. Take the RIGHT side of the "T". At the next "T" take the LEFT side of the "T". At the THIRD "T" (or fork in the road) which is the intersection of this road and highway NN you will find the cemetery just NORTH of the intersection between the two roads. ............ As to a city of Pierce... I do not believe there is a city of Pierce -I could not locate one on a map. ............. I have only used the Houston courthouse for land deeds- which they were very helpful with. ............. Houston has a small library. It does have a microfilm machine -and some early years of the "Houston Herald" on film. It also has a small genealogy section at the library. ................ Another place to stop for genealogy is the Houston Genealogy Society Room (downtown Houston). They have albums of obits that are very helpful as well as other books on the shelfs that you might find of interst. They are only open certain days & times, so check with them- Texas County Missouri Genealogical & Historical Society 300 S. Grand Ave. Houston, MO 967-3126 .................. Since you know that some of your Martins are buried in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.... I would think that their burials were handled by one of the local funeral homes. You might want to check with- Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home 527 Cedar Cabool, MO phone 962-3123 or Evans Funeral Home 224 S. Grand Houston, MO phone 967-3355 or Willow Funeral Home 106 E. 3rd Willow Springs, MO 469-3141 There are others in the area, and if you would like a list of all of them, let me know and I will gladly give you any/all of their address/phone #'s. .............
