Plina (Priana) was his (at least 2nd) wife. They married Dec 6, 1863. Apparently he was her first husband either. Her maiden name is Lavina Priana Camelia Eaves, but their wedding record lists her as Mrs. Priana Elliot. I have no idea who the Elliot was or what became of him, but they couldn't have been married long. Nancy Ann Anderson was his daughter from a previous marriage. The only other marriage I find for him was to Francis Hume of Dent co on Aug 12, 1861. (Again, I have no idea what became of her, but I suspect she died in childbirth with Nancy Ann-no proof only suspicion) John was their first son that I know of, b. 11-4-1864 near Lenox. he married Mary Elizabeth Davidson. He died 8-19-1923 in Houston, MO They had two other sons-Pleasant Albert b. 1-12-1867 (who should be on the 1870 census-maybe he was staying with her folks-they were long time Lenox area residents) and my gGrandfather James Wesley. John (aka Robert John) died at Licking in abt. 1874 (I am actively trying to pin down a date, which is what I was doing when I stumbled across your posts) As far as I know, neither young man listed was any relation. I suspect that they were hired farmhands-I see that a lot-often from neighboring families. In fact I even found one of my gggGrandmothers working as a housekeeper about three families away from her parents in one census. AS for where was John in the 1850 and 1860 census. I don't know. I think I found a john (or Robert?) Anderson in the 1850 Texas county census, but the microfilm that I was viewing was a horribly scratched negative, and I would not bet that it was him. BTW I have Wood ancestors on the other side of my family in Phelps County-I have had a tough time getting anywhere with them too. Also, my relationship to the Sherrills that Sherrill Township is named for is distant-our common ancestor is from Sherrill's Ford NC, in the early 1800's I doubt this was any help, but it was nice to find my ggGradnfather listed in a posting other than my own! Kenny Sherrill Lecoma, MO also, there is some confusion as to which state John Anderson was born. About half of the time he's listed as being born in TN, the other half, in KY.
