Walton buried in Plato, Texas County, Missouri General Affidavit For neighbors, employers, or fellow workmen of soldier, (other than relatives) who knew him before his enlistment, or since his return from the army. State of Missouri County of Texas. In the matter of the application for pension of Elizabeth C. Walton a widow of Joseph A. Walton Co. "G" 32 nd Mo. Inf. On this 16th day of June A.D. 1892 personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, duly authorizes to administer oaths, S.F. Taylor aged 63 years, a resident of Plato in the county of Texas and the State of Missouri and G.C. Duke aged 41 years, a resident of Plato in the county of Texas and State of Missouri whose Post Office address is Plato, Texas County, Missouri well known to me to be respectable and entitled to credit and who, being duly sworn, declare in relation to the afore said case as Follows That we have been well and personally acquaninted with J.A. Walton for 13 years, and 5 years respectively, and that they were present at the death of the soldier Joseph A. Walton, he died in Texas County, MO. about June 29th 1883, we assisted to bury him in the Plato Grave yard in Texas County, Mo.
