HI List anyone with these names connected to GRAINGER & CLAIBORNE & KNOX counties TN?.My ggrandmother was NANCY MAYES born 1845 in RAY county,MO.daughter of STERLING & SARAH CARR MAYES.this NANCY married in later years 1882 to a BOLIN.and is buried under that name in CLAIBORNE county,TN. i've been dead ended as i have not found a NANCY MAYES married to a MOORE.but everything i've found points to this NANCY,she married a MOORE,1st name is not really known but has been tossed around as JOHN JACK or JACKSON,it was said by a son in a census he was born in TX.my gramps the JOHN MOORE's son says GERMANY.so i'm stuck here.JOHN & NANCY's children are JEFF,JAMES HOUSTON,WILL,AGNES,JOHN MARION & LIZZI MOORE.for the most part all were raised around CLAIBORNE & KNOX counties TN,i'm in touch with the ggrandson of JAMES HOUSTON.also i'm related to TOWNSLEY,as my grandmother was a TOWNSLEYi have a homepage & photos.maybe someone will recognize a face.WILL we think we have a photo of him some 20+ yrs ago a true west documentry on pbs had the same photo,my aunt has the original.wonder who has that 1?. if anyone and any surnames are connected to GRAINGER & CLAIBORNE counties,TN. that may have married a MAYES.I have a websie with lots of info and photos.a huge MAYES list from 1752.. thank you Ray Moore. my homepages. http://www.angelfire.com/in3/louisrr/moore.htm -- [email protected]
