In 1860 the 24 yr. old C C and his 20 yr. old wife, Rachel, from Arkansas were "stockraisers" in wild and wooly Jack Co., TX with sons William M. (1858) and James (1860). I can't find them in 1870, but in 1880 they were "farming" in Parker Co., TX with daughters Francis (1864), Mary (1868) and Emma (1874). If anyone has any idea as to what Missouri Hays branch C C belongs I would greatly appreciate an e-mail. I have not yet been able to locate the 14 yr. old C C in either the TX, MO or ARK 1850 Census.
