His children were all born in the 1860s except possibly Sarah, his daughter by his first wife, who came with him from Mississippi to Missouri. He arrived in Missouri sometime in the late 1850s to early 1860s. Sorry I can't help any more. There was another family of Smiths in the area because one of his sons married a Smith also. I am not sure at this point of her first name, I will see if I can find it for you. I have it here somewhere. I will send it back soon.
