I am seeking info on Anna/Annie E. McDaniel, who was the d/o Daniel McDaniel & Phoebe Quick. Annie was b. @ 1841 in MO. She and her parents show on the 1850 census in Texas Co. MO. Annie is 9 years of age. Annie McDaniel married first a Johnson man, prob in Texas Co. MO. (I have never found marriage records in Texas Co. for the Civil War years, 1861-1865). I believe this man was either Aaron or Isaac, and they were brothers. They both served in the 8th MO Inf., CSA. I have never found a trace of them following the 1860 census. I believe that Annie and her first husband, (Johnson) had a son named (possibly) William Thomas. It is this man that I am trying to locate/confirm. In Jan 1866, Annie married Zachariah Denison, a widower, in Texas Co. MO. He died prior to the 1870 census, when Annie is shown as the head of the household in Texas Co. MO. She is next door to a Thomas Monroe Johnson, and his brother, William Henry Johnson, who are brothers to Aaron & Isaac Johnson. Annie married a 3rd time, also in Texas Co. MO, to John Franklin Hamby on 13 Oct 1872 in Houston, Texas Co. MO. They migrated to Johnson Co. TX about 1878. Does anybody on the list have any info on Annie McDaniel and her first husband? I am always willing to share info to benefit each researcher. Thank you, Judy in TX
The surnames I'm looking for are Martin and Miller. Specifically Nathan Martin b. 1801 d. after 1890, don't know his first wife's name. His second wife, Rosanne E. S. Jane Coulter Richardson Martin b. 1831 d. 1915, she was buried by the county. And Roxanna Jane Martin Miller b. abt 1855 d. abt 1897. I'm sure there are many other Martins that are related, so any Martins will be gratefully accepted. Thank you so much. Elaine O'Neill On 9/22/06, Paul B & Donna K. Any suggestions as to who might have the lists of those that lie in unmarked graves, specifically in Bethel Cemetery in Texas County? I've requested lookups in the published cemetery books and had no luck. I'm assuming the graves are unmarked and wonder who, if anyone, would I contact to find out if in fact my people are there in unmarked graves? Thanks for any suggestions. Elaine O'Neill Hollister, MO

I must have missed the answer to the original question. I'm interested in John John's parents--possibly Henry Johns and Mary "Polly" Hensley? There were a lot of Johns in the area, and I've never been able to figure out which were children of Henry and Mary. Thanks. I am looking for births for children of Dr. E.F. Gardner and Mollie Hurtsell Gardner. I have one child, Groves Clealand born 26 March 1885 in Summerville. In his Civil War Pension papers he mentions this child and a Don Pedro and a female Linnie. He divorced Mollie in 1890. Thank you, Gaycha Davenport, IA
I am looking for a divorce decree date for Elizabeth Jane Campbell Gardner and Elijah Francisco Gardner. She was living in Birch Tree, Shannon Co.,but there is no divorce there. He was living in Summerville, Texas Co., In April 1887 she remarried . In March 1885 he had a child by Mollie Hurtsell, his new wife. So the divorce was between 1880 and 1885. Thank you, Gaycha Davenport,IA
Thanks for the information on Lucast Trusty and Robert Bay. Does your Texas County Heritage book tell the date of Lucasta's divorce ? Also would like the date of John Johns divorce. Does it show when they married? I really appreciate your taking the time to look up the information. Mel
Dear List, I am seeking a marriage lookup for Anna Eliza/Elizabeth McDaniel (b. 1843/44) to a Johnson man. IF this marriage was in Texas County, it would have been after the census in July 1860, and prior to Jan 1866, whn Anna (McDaniel) Johnson married a second time, also in Texas Co. MO. I believe the given name of her first husband was possibly Aaron or Isaac. Thank you, Judy in TX
