Not that there was a shortage of descendats Can you tell me if Ephraim J Pennington is the same killed in 1862 during the Civil War We had never heardthe cause of death for Martha Jane so this is brand new information As I have it; The parkers left Cannon co. around 1855 and are said to have lived in Ill before arriving in Mo Cornelius is believed to have arrived in 1857 and Dozier in 1858-59 Dozier is the one who is said to have brought the child Sarah to live with Cornelious At this time ion the 1860 census we see Cornelious had a new wife Mary A. We still do not know who she is or what happened to her After Cornelius was bushwhacked three of his children went to live with Sarah Lucey An and Thomas Ready Saray Luceyan as she was called named her only daughter Martha Jane after her sister There would be a time differential from the time Martha Jane died until Sarah arrived in Texas co. I can not find Sarah, Henry Thomas, John David or jerusha Elizabeth on the 1870 census We know that Thomas was in Barry co., Mo in 1868 where his son Charles was born We know he was in Arkansas in 1870 where his daughter was born. We know on Nov 3 1875 Dozier and Thomas were granted land 1875 in Washington co. Ark from the Harrison land office We know Sarah married in 1873 In the past week I received a phot of her headstone An oval photo when young and a photo when she was older It was just last yearthat I found her Marriage Now I have only found her on the 1900 census in Burleson co Tex and in 1920 in Bell co., living with daughter Luda(we had her as Lida) (Lida was usually a nick name for Eliza) I do find her in 1880, 1910 or 1930 is this something you can help me out When I did my research I did not have the Family Tree maker so I am trying to manually enter my info My memory remembered her being in Bell co., Texas but I have not been able to find that record You do not know how long we have looked for Info on Sarah What led to the break through one of the Parker researchers had her as the step daughter of Cornerlious. After I shared what i had and her parents were (last name only for Pennington) she found the wedding info In Union co., Ill Do you know where she was buried or what cemetery? According to the Thomas L Parker family who also moved to Texas the fmily were witness to his murder According to the Cornelious decendants they heard the gun shot and found him at the barn bringing his team of mules in for the day Cornelius is buried on that farm which is exactly two miles form the gates of Ft Leonard Wood on Highway 17 south The way I read your information you have Martha dying when Sarah was born or shortly after from complications? I lookforward to hearing from you again. jas.heady@sbcglobal.net I did find Johnson Huddleson in 1870 Washington co., Ark Any info you can supply in regards to her childrenand who they married willbe much appreciated Jim Heady in San Antonio
