    1. [MOTEXAS] New Chambers Site and Missouri Cousins Update
    2. Charlene
    3. Merry Christmas to everyone! The Missouri Cousins site Chambers, Core, and Rich Family Trees were updated. The site address is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~crrking/ For Chambers Researchers I created a new site, Chambers Family Genealogy at: http://crrking.tripod.com/chambersfamilygenealogy/ This Chambers family lived in Texas County, Missouri in 1850. This site provides a history overview of my Chambers family. Other surnames mentioned in this site are Rich, James, Core, Munholland and Bean. This site also contains links to other Chambers' web site - if you have a site you want added, please let me know. I also created a guestbook so that Chambers researchers could post their migration path, family info and brick walls. Here is also some sites with lots of helpful info: http://www.surnamesite.com/ http://www.genealinks.com/ Charlene Chambers at [email protected] in California

    1. [MOTEXAS] DOI closing of lists and looking for my Jones and Smith
    2. This is for all the people that e-mailed me personally to start a petition. While I feel like you do, how about if we wait a couple of weeks and see what happens. I was told that they would be open soon:) Then if the BLM is not open:) we can start working on getting it done. I am interested as I am looking for Ferguson McDoanld Jones (first name could be Hiram) and he married Caroline (Mary?) Smith and they had a son John William Jones in Crawford County, MO in 1872. They were deceased before 1880. John William lived with James B. Jones in Delhi, MO in 1880. The Jones family I believe was inall of these places. KY, AR, TN, MO thanks, Juanita Jones Johnson

    3. I am hitch-hiking on this request since it mentions the birth register. Are there any MORAN's listed? My husband's great-grandfather & ggrandmother lived in Texas Co in the late 1800's. Also his Uncle Jody (Joseph) or J F MORAN ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Clover" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 10, 2001 3:26 PM Subject: [MOTEXAS] Lookup in Texas Co. Birth Records Does anyone have the Booklet, "Birth Register, Texas Co. MO - July 1883-March 1890"? I just received my Texas Co. Genealogical Socity newsletter today and there was a note in there that the Birth Register not only has the birth dates of the newborn but place of birth of the parents. I had not ordered the book because my grandmother was born ouside of the dates covered, and I had her siblings' birthdates from the family bible. HOWEVER, I have not been able to find out where my great-grandfather was born other than somewhere in MO (according to later censuses). He first appears at his wedding in Roubidoux (I have entertained the notion of a spaceship!) Does the Birth Register give locations within the states? If so, could someone check and see if there is an entry for: Fredric Windfield Kyler b.10 Aug 1887 or Ada Ethel Kyler b. 06 Dec 1889 I am interested in the birthplace of their father, William B. 3. Some may still be having problems entering the new area website or do not understand this type of security system on websites such as these... Register at: http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net be sure that your username and password is the length that it needs to be After successfully registering on the website, you can enter the site at: http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/research/ or http://www.oregoncountyhistory.net/research/siteindex/index.html You will still have to enter your username and password, but this will be quicker. We've already had hackers so, this is the reason for the additionnal security system.. If you have not been able to successfully register, make sure that your user name and password is as long as it should be ... you will not have to re-register if that thing pops up asking you for your user name and password...., just give it same info again what you just used. It will not accept your username and password as being the same.. don't know why, it just won't... Sorry for any problems. If you still have problems, contact me privately! Lanita ps: if you're wondering why Texas Co. would be interested in one that says Oregon County in the title, don't let the name throw you. Rootsweb picked out the name, it has to do with Oregon Co. is involved with all the other counties in the area... They split from 2 other counties... other counties split from them... people crossed over the county lines all the time, as found in the census.... this is an AREA website... taking in several counties and 2 states!
