Hi List, I too would like to see some of the old newspapers. I tried getting them through our local library with no luck. It would be wonderful to see the daily lives of our ancestors in Texas County or at the very least, the obits from early newspapers. Any luck from a kind soul getting those on the Internet? Evan Jones, who were originally from New Cambria, Macon Co. MO and moved to possibly to Texas Co. MO for a period of time prior to September 1913. Annie died somewhat tragically in Sept of 1913 and I have been unable to find an acutal obituary in Macon Co. papers. I understand that a legal suit may have been filed against the Jones family; however, that may be family lore. There is a death notice in the Macon, MO area papers that Annie died in Houston, TX; however, the family never lived or visited TX and more than likely lived around Houston, Texas Co., MO Are there any microfiche copies of old newspapers from the Texas Co. area available? Thanks for anyone's help!

Forwarded: Subject: NO JOKE - LOOK FOR YOUR NAME Check to see if you are on the site and if so follow the steps to be removed. I just checked this web-site and my name w/the correct middle initial, date of birth and zip code was on the site. I deleted my info as should you. They are getting the information from public records. Please check for your name and if it is there, follow the instructionsbelow and delete it from the site. This is a very serious message, and is not a joke. A friend of mine who is also an investigator just informed me of this. There is a web site in existence that may have your NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, ADDRESS, ETC.,there for anybody to see and retrieve. You do not want anyone to have this information which can eventually get them your social security number. That is how identity fraud takes place. SUBJECT: ONLINE PUBLIC RECORDS I'm writing to you to tell you about a dangerous web site named www.ANYBIRTHDAY.COM, a web site that may have your personal information on it including your address and SS#! Apparently, thieves are taking this info for not so birthday "ish" uses. I did find my name and info, and you can delete the informationby following this procedure. SERIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT A JOKE. Go to http://www.ANYBIRTHDAY.COM 1.) CLICK ON SEARCH. 2.) ENTER YOUR NAME, BUT NO ZIP CODE (SOMETIMES THEY ARE WRONG) 3.) CLICK FIND BIRTHDAY. IF YOU FIND YOUR NAME AND BIRTHDAY, WRITE IT DOWN EXACTLY LIKE THEY HAVE IT. 4.) CLICK ON FAQ. 5.) CLICK PRIVACY STATEMENT. 6.) CLICK OPT OUT OPTION. 7.) ENTER INFO. 8.) CLICK REMOVE. WAIT 10 - 15 MINUTES, AND GO BACK AND MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS GONE. YOU SHOULD SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND CARE ABOUT. ALSO, SAVE THIS E-MAIL AND PERIODICALLY RE-CHECK THAT SITE AND MAKE SURE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES NOT REAPPEAR.
