    3. Hello, I'm really new to online genealogy and was pleased to find these lists! When I figure out how to properly post my ancestor chart, Ill do that. But for now this is my Texas County related line: Father: Eugene Edgar Smelser - b. 27 Nov 1925 Waterloo, IA; m. 31 July 1946 Waterloo, IA, to Beverly Jane Landau; d. 6 Sept 1968 Waterloo, IA. Grandfather: Jesse William Smelser b. 14 Mar 1897 Texas Co., MO; m. 1 Mar 1922 Waterloo, IA, to Elsie Mae Brayton; d. 5 June 1931 Waterloo, IA. Jesse and Elsies children: William Aaron b. 1923; Clarence Nelson b. 1924; Eugene Edgar b. 1925; Melvin LeRoy b. 1927; and Genevieve Mae b. 1930. All children born in Black Hawk Co. IA. Great-grandfather: Aaron William Smelser b. 2 Mar 1867 Greene Co., TN; m. 17 Oct 1893 Texas Co., MO, to Emma Elmore; d. 5 June 1931 Iowa City, IA. (Yes, thats not a typo: father & son died within an hour of each other, both of stomach/colon cancer.) Gt-grandmother Emma Elmore b. 29 July 187? In Texas Co. MO (fa: Jesse Andrew Elmore and Josie McFarland) d. 24 Mar 1920 in Texas Co. MO. Aaron and Emmas children were: Lulu b. 1894; Jesse William b 1897; Elmer b 12 Aug ?; Stella E. b 30 Aug 1906; Melissa Catherine b. 6 Jan. 1909; Clarence b. 11 Mar 1912; Etta b. 8 April 1915. (All children born in Texas Co.MO) Gt-gt grandfather: William Harrison Smelser b. (date unknown) Greene Co., TN; m. 2 Dec. 1861 Greene Co., TN, to Catherine Brown; d. (date unknown) Texas Co., MO. Their children were: Elva Haines Smelser b. 1865; Aaron William b. 1867; also (order not known): Charles, Elizabeth, Emma, Martha, and David. I dont have documentation, but I believe that William Harrison Smelsers parents were Elizabeth (parents unknown) and John Smelser (son of Jacob Smelser bapt. 1790 in PA, and Elizabeth Ealy) Catherine Browns parents were Aaron Brown and Mary/Marie Collett. So my queries are re: the Smelser, Brown, Elmore, McFarland and all related lines!! Thanks!
