I had 9 brothers and sisters. There were 5 boys and 5 girls in my family. Evidently the Helen you mentioned was my mother's sister Helen Shaffer. The Phyllis you mentioned was probably my oldest brother;s wife the former Phyllis Dodd. If you want to email me I have been researching for about 4 years and do have a wealth of information I would be glad to share with you. By the way, in my research I visited Clopton, Virginia in the year 2001. My wife was ailing at that time so we did not get to spend as much time in that area as we would have liked. Richard W. The first Clopton in my lineage that was born in the U.S.A. was a Robert Clopton. By his first wife he had a daughter that married a man with the last name of Buck. This man's grandfather was the one that performed the ceremony. The granfather was also the one that gave the prayer for the 1st Continental Congress.

I was thrilled to find your post! My dad visited Herb's and Napoleon's graves just two months ago - both are buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Another curious thing is the name Ragain, which is also the maiden name of Napoleon's wife, Effie Mae. I wonder if she and Dave Ragain were siblings? (Effie is also buried in SLC, but we haven't been able to find any info about her family - TONS of misspellings, etc. Same as for Mary Ellen Nickle.) I would love to find out if they had any offspring. I have also located an obituary for Sebastian, who died in Merced, CA and was not married. He worked as a carpenter. Anyway, I would be delighted to share what little info I have. Please email me at your earliest convenience. I will keep this email current indefinitely - or at least for the next several years! I note this is a fairly new query-My Ramsower(Ramsauer)were much earlier than your request-would you be interested in knowing their origin?Heinrich and Dietrich were brothers from Ramsau Bavaria. I am looking for any information on Rev. Lewis Baird, who I believe came to the Raymondville (Jackson Township), Missouri Area around 1867, and died there in 1903. I would be interested to know where he is buried, and any information available on his wife Hannah Broyles Baird as well. This family has been a little hard to trace as Baird was a Dunkard, (German Baptist), which group I understand did not believe in the census. If their names appear in 1900, I would like to know that as well. Any help given would be greatly appreciated. David A. Burrill 2602 West A.
