    3. I would like information on the Jacob Nelson Mayfield family who along with numerous others from Pulaski County, Kentucky went to that area of Missouri in the 1885 to 1900. Why did they go? Why did they come back to Kentucky. I have accumulated a number of families who went. No further info. I am especially interested because I know I had a two Uncles born there. One stillborn is buried there. Fredrick Mayfield. I also have an old coffee grinder, a pie safe and a large field bell that were purchased by my grandparents when they were there. In the coffee mill there is a note from my grandfather that says, purchased in Huston, Texas County Missouri, 1886. I would be very grateful if someone could check census, death records, birth records etc. for my family. Grandfather Jacob Nelson Mayfield KY Grandmother Mary Humphries Smotherman Mayfield Ky Uncle Samuel ? 1. [MOTEXAS] Garrison, McBride, Smelcer, Reid, Storm
    2. What a good idea this is! The names I am looking for in Texas County are Garrison (primarily Buckner and Lucinda, Edmund and Louisa and Daniel, William), McBride (Lucinda, Elizabeth, Allen), Smelcer (Elva, Catherine, William), and Reid (Martha Ellen, William, Erva Ann, Jack). The Garrisons were there by 1850 and probably the McBrides were as well. Smelcers were there following the Civil War, and William and Martha Ellen Reid settled near Licking about 1900, with Martha Ellen's 2 children by a prior Storm marriage, Erva Ann and Jack. Erva Ann married William Garrison there around 1910. Marti

    1. [MOTEXAS] Rollcall?
    2. Okay, my interest is in WILLIAM BASKETT b. 1820 Ohio, who lived in Summersville in 1850-1880 with wife MARY P. TURPIN BASKETT. Lost him and Mary after that. He may have gone to Washington State where two of his sons went, Mary could have died. He also had a daughter JULIA ANN BASKETT b. 1842. Would like to know if she died, moved or married. Can't find her in the 1860 census of Texas County. Thanks List, Jeanne in Oregon
