In 1910, Mary Jane age 51 born Missouri, was living with her oldest son, William Fisher and his children. Her other two children are also listed in the home. By 1920, I can't find Mary Jane anywhere. I am hoping that someone, anyone, can look in cemetery books (if there are any for Texas County) and see if she is listed or find something out for me. They were in the Pierce Township area in 1910. According to her daughter's death records, Mary Jane's maiden name was Woodin...I have tried Mary Woo* in searching the 1860 and can find none that match the criteria, so I have been unable to find her parents. Am hoping if she died there and there are death records, that they will shed some light. Thanks in advance for any and all help! Lainee Denton-Jones

If anyone out there has access to Texas, Dent, Pulaski or Crawford County Marriage books, would you mind looking to see if you find a Sarah Smith marrying? She was born about 1864 In Tennessee. Her mother is unknown, but her father was James E. Madison Smith. This is all of the information I have on her, but would like to learn more.
Misty, There are lots of Smiths, James and Sarahs but fewer born Tenn. I did not try to check them all but there is a James Smith born Tenn, age 34, married to a Sarah N Smith age 37 born in Pa. There children are George 14 and Margaret D 13 born in Pa. The rest of the children are William D 11, Adam H, 9, Mary A, 8 Sarah C, 5 and Rosette 10/12 all born in Mo. This is on the 1880 Fed Census, Dent Co., Spring Creek Dist 65. If you can find the family, as I said there are lots of Smiths-- then alot of times you can backtrack them and cross reference by child to eliminate or strike gold. In the Texas Co. Marriage records, there are two marriages for a Thomas M. Johnson, one in 1869, the second in 1873. (There is also a Thomas M. Johnson who married Julia Ann Trusty 15 Mar 1868, but he is not either of the two I am trying to locate). The records are: (1) Thomas Monroe Johnson married Eva Jane Evans 5 Sep 1869 AND (2) Thomas M. Johnson married Falisa Davidson 17 Aug. 1873. Texas Co. 1870 Census shows Thomas Johnson, age 25 married to Eva, age 19. Next door is W. H. Johnson, age 22: think this is William Henry, bro. to Thomas M. By 1880, T. M. Johnson has migrated to Grayson Co. TX: he is 34, married to "F. A." (Felissa A.) Also in Household is H. Johnson, age 31, brother to Thomas. Were these Thomas M. Johnson men the same? I believe at least Thomas Monroe was s/o Francis Justice Johnson & wife, Nancy Clark (both buried in Shafer Cemetery). Would anybody have info on Eva, Falisa, or Thomas M. Johnson? Many thanks, Judy in TX

I am looking for the death date and burial place for Missouri Almeda Inman Johnson. She was the daughter of Alva and Eliza Ann Inman. Alva was the brother of my gg grandmother, Anna Mathes Inman Wood. Almeda married John Christian Johnson, son of James Henry and Mary Ann Wagner Johnson. James Henry is buried in Hamilton cemetery in Texas Co., MO, Mary Ann is buried in OK where her son-in-law and wife died and are buried. I received this info through a copy of a letter written to a Johnson researcher about Missouri Almeda. "My brother read your query in a paper in Missouri, we are from Hartshorn, Missouri, Texas County. We have reason to believe that our great great grandfather came up from Alabama with two other brothers and located near Cabool and Springfield. We are seeking information and wondered if Isaac Johnson could possibly be one of the brothers. Our great grandfather's name was James Henry Johnson married to Mary Ann Wagner. Our grandfather was John Christian Johnson married to Missouri Almeda Carolyne Inman." I would like to find a death date so I can order a death certificate for Almeda. I have death records for two of her brothers. Marguerette House Powell
