George Stalcup, son of Tobias Stalcop, moved to Taney Co., MO in ca. 1839 with a number of his adult children and their respective families. Burner Simon Peter Stalcup 1808 - 1880 +Elizabeth Saviah Bradley 1812 - 1892 Solomon Stalcup 1811 - 1848 +Mary Saunders 1815 - 1858 Elizabeth Stalcup 1812 - +Henry Beard Thomas Stallcup 1816 - 1873 +Emily Pelham 1822 - 1888 Thomas Stallcup, the youngest known child of George and Susana (Hanley) Stalcup, was my great-grandfather. Thomas Stallcup was separate from his parents at that time and did not made that move as he was already living in AR at the time. In ca. 1842, he moved his family from AR to TX. Several of his nieces and nephews, from Taney Co., sought his support when they moved to TX as young adults. One was George W. Stalcup, the son of Simon Peter Stalcup, who married Susan Jane Stallcup, the daughter of Thomas Stallcup.
