Thanks for your kind words, Carlyn, which I greatly appreciate. How wonderful to have someone in the family who is 97 and still has an interest in hearing more about her family roots. One question I would like to ask if you don't mind, is---Do you know the maiden name of Frank CHASEY's 2nd wife Emma?? If you do, I would like to add that name to the Taney Co. Census Index that I have as I'm working closely with Vonda Sheets who manages the Taney County Website to identify as many former Taney County individuals as possible whenever there are contacts from family members like yourself so that someone has a permanent record. The CHASEY surname certainly seems to be a rare, or at least not very common, name. When I first saw your posting, I thought it was CASEY as there were and probably still are many families by that name in Taney Co., including some that inter-married with some of my Taney Co. families, so I was quite surprised when I realized it was CHASEY and not Casey. You've saved me a great deal of time (renting microfilm, which can take 3-4 weeks to come in, and then may not be the right ones), and effort, and I'm especially grateful as I have elderly relatives waiting for me to send them my research on this branch of our family. (One's mother is 97, and she has asked me to hurry, as she'd like her mother to get to enjoy this part of our family too! No pressure here, of course!) I'm very grateful for your assistance.
