    1. Taney Co. visit
    2. Fellow researchers; Now that I am caught up and can breathe a little bit easier I would like to tell you about my trip to Missouri and the people that helped and guided me thru out their counties and cities. I am sure there are good and helpful people everywhere but when it comes to Genealogy I have never met such willingness to share and to help others out. I started on the 7th of October, 2000 by getting on a plane that was flying to KC, MO (my mother who is 84 was with me). We stayed the night in KC, at the Station Casinos and then on Sunday the 8th of October we went to Marceline, MO, stayed in Marceline for a week. On the 14th of October we left Marceline and went to Butler, MO and on the 17th we left Butler and went to Nevada, MO for a one night stay. On the 18th we headed for Baxter Springs, KS and stayed again for one night, leaving Baxter on the morning of the 19th we headed for Branson, MO. We were able to stay in Branson for two nights. On the morning of the 21st we left Branson and headed for Osceola, MO and spent the day in St. Clair County. On the evening of the 21st we were back in Butler, MO, and on the 23rd of October we went to Clinton, MO for a one day visit and were back in Butler that evening. On the 24th of October we had to pack up for the last time and head for the airport in KC, MO. Upon arriving back home I had the normal work staring me in the face, DIRTY house, laundry and a husband that missed me. The normal unpacking, jet lag, arranging for my Mom to get back to her home in Kingman, AZ, plus had company coming for the following weekend. Needless to say I was TIRED! I have all of my findings (genealogy) stacked up and am about to get busy on putting it all into my hard drive, now that things are back to normal. There are some people that I want to thank for their help and advice. Taney Co., MO CINDY STONE and her Mom ANNA STONE for taking us to the Cupp/Nash Cemetery. On the way to the Cemetery we went by way of Bear Creek Road, what an experience! Thank you cousin for leading me in the right direction, would have not found it by myself. After visiting the Cemetery we went back to Anna's house for coffee and talking Genealogy. VONDA WILSON SHEETS, what a lady! To take her valuable time away from her husband and family. We met at a nice little Mom and Pop type restaurant called UNA'S for lunch. Vonda had her Aunt (Ethel) and her Cousin (Georgina) with her and they were such nice ladies. Upon starting our journey, then she gave me a Walkie Talkie and she had the other one. I followed her by car to the town of Forsyth, MO to Round Mountain Road, to Bull Creek Bridge, to Meadows Cemetery and then To Goodnight Holler Road and back. All the way, she was talking on the radio and telling me about what was to the right and to the left and felt just like I was on a tour. THANK YOU VONDA! I got to meet INGRID ALBERS, as Vonda picked her up on our way out of town. I had such a good and productive trip and want to thank all of you for all of your help.
