My ancestor was Edna Bates(she was the sister of my grandmother) who married the youngest John Wesley Parton, and both died in Mincy, abt 1910 , I believe their deaths may have been caused by a measles epidemic, the three children left behind very young they were went to fort Gibson to live with the parents of Edna. I have never found the burial place for Edna or John (it could be James I have to look at my information about the family in order to remember, lol), but their deaths and place of burial has always been a mystery to us.
