I have 2 men in my Taney Co. database with the name Lafayette ELLISON and wonder if either of them is the same person you are talking about. Hattie DUNLAP 2) Lonnie E. ELLISON b.8 April 1882-Taney Co. d.28 Jan 1962-Taney Co. md 15 Jan 1904-Taney Co. Lee Ola BROWN 3) James ELLISON b.1875-1876-Taney Co. d.????? md 28 Aug 1892-Taney Co. H. Louena/Lovena DUNLAP 2nd person: James ELLISON & Hester "Hetty" CASEY had son named Francis Marion ELLISON who married twice: (1) Catharine M. (last name unknown) ca 1863-1864-prob. Taney Co. who was b.25 Sept 1845-MO and d.16 Jan 1879-Taney Co,MO; then Francis married (2) Sadie LEWALLEN 15 May 1879-Taney Co. who was b.16 Sept 1860-MO and died 27 Jan 1935-Taney Co,MO. Francis & 1st wife Catharine had 7 children that I know about & one of them was named Lafayette ELLISON b.Oct 1870-Taney Co., MO and he is the only one of the 7 children for whom I do not have any further information. I wonder if his full name was James Lafayette ELLISON, also if either of these is the "Fate" ELLISON who Ingrid Albers said was a friend of her gr-grandfather, George Stacey???? Does any of this look familiar to you???????? If so, I'd sure like to hear from you or any others who are researching this family, and maybe you can help me to straighten out my records in the event I have made a mistake!!!!
