Hi again Don in Tokyo, Yes I knew that Lorea and my Uncle George Leslie Bearden were married to siblings, James Albert "Albert" Compton and Cumma Gale Compton. (Cumma was George's second wife). I just corresponded with Aunt Cuma a few days ago. I've also corresponded a couple of times recently with her son, Roy (twin of Robert). You have my grandparents' children listed correctly: 1. Infant child, sex unknown - Born & died Oct 26, 1894 - Buried in Cupp Cem. Taney Co. 2. "Daughter" Rennie B. - Married to Ora F. McGrath. 3. Floyd Lee - Married to Myrtle Alice "Myrt" Roberts. 4. George Leslie - First married to Carrie E. Carr (Rowland) - Second married to Cuma. 5. Charles Henry "Charley" (my father) - Married to Christine Francis McHolland. 6. Ruth B. - Married to Chauncey Cline. 7. Florence Lucy - Married to Chester Ray Hensley. 8. Lorea Laura - You know. You should really try to get to Taney County sometime. It is "God's country" indeed! If I can be of any further assistance, just "holler" (that's hairy-legged-hillbilly for yell). Forsyth Family #202 MOSELY, John 35-IL Pernecia 26-MO Joseph 9-MO Margaret 8-MO Sarah 6-MO William 4-MO Perness 2-MO Benjamin 9/12-MO 1960 Mortality Enumeration also shows MOSELY, Nancy died in March age 10/12-MO (but parents' names not shown) and there are MOSELY listings on 4 other pages. Don Houk NOTE TO DON BEARDEN: By any chance are you related to Mrs Laura (BEARDEN) COMPTON who died in Jan 1990 who was wife of Albert COMPTON? There is no John Mosely there. The 1860 census has only a partial index and Missouri isn't included. The only way to researh 1860 would be to go thru Taney County page by page (a considerable undertaking). Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. I know he raised his family in Taney County MO. Was wondering if anyone can do a lookup and see if they can find him and his family in Taney County MO in the 1850/1860 census. 1850 John would have been abt. 25 b. IL Parnecie abt. 17 b. MO Probably one child: Joseph L. abt. 2 1860 John abt. 35 Parnecie abt. 27 Johseph abt. 12 Magaret E. Sarah A. William E. and maybe a Parnecie E. Thanks to whoever can help. If you know of the John Moseley family and where they might have been in the 1850 and 1860 census times please let me know.
