Hi Gina, I just came into town so will reply regarding Index to 1870 Taney Co.Census: There is NO household shown in the Index under the name TYE or any variation spelling. Your STIFFLER household is listed in Swan Twp Fam #170 STIFFLER, George W 23-AR Georeann(sic) 21-GA Mary E. 7/12-MO I also checked the Indexes to 1860 & 1880 Taney Co. Census records and NO TYE household shown in them either.
