Thanks for asking, Victoria, but my HOUK line only arrived in America 1830 Buffalo, NY and from there to Indiana. In cholera epidemic of 1849, almost every member of the family died except my gggrandfather 7 one son. By 1854 gggrandfather died and son Jacob HOUK,Jr went to Minnesota where he md, then to IOWA & from where he served in Civil War & prisoner in Andersonville. In 1868 took his family from Iowa and moved to Oregon. So far as I know, none of his siblings survived the cholera epidemic so I don't think there's much chance of there being any relationship to the OK family. Sure wish there was a connection!!!
