Good Morning I have read through all the information you sent and I believe there are a couple of names that might be the same as some of my folks. I am sending this on to my daughter who will double check for me. The Jennings Family can be very alusive at times. My kin were scattered all around the Douglas, Taney county area. My grandmother was a Slate from Mansfield, Mo. before marrying James Elra Jennings. She raised me in Carthage. I will let you know if we can a common bond. Thanks and God Bless Carole

Looking for an obituary from April, 1943 Hollister, Taney County, MO for a Rose Cochrane. I don't have an exact date though. I found that she was buried in Vernon County, however, she was living in Hollister at the time of her death. Is there an obituary index? Can someone direct me to where I might find a death record? thank you, Maureen

Just wanted to let you all know that my mom, brother and I will be in the Branson area, etc. in mid June. We have some things to do in the Joplin area around the 21st so it may be the end of the month before we get on over to Branson. We also want to visit Mountain & Schell's Mill area of McDonald Co., where my Johnstons came up from Madison Co., AR, en-route to Joplin, etc. Anyway, for those of you in the area, I hope to get to meet at least some of you all. We won't be able to get there in time for Outlaw Day; as we are moving here. My dad died in October & we are going to be scattering his ashes in the Ozarks, etc. Are there any meetings planned, etc., during that time period? Looking forward to seeing many of you. I have not been in Branson since about 1968. I was 9 years old. I know I am in for a shock. I don't think I'll be able to stand on Sammy Lane's Lookout. Sigh ........... Later! Jerry Johnston P.S.: I'm bringing my laptop & hope to get a lot more work done!
Barb: At the present I cannot acess too much of my Eslick info. My computer is down and I am using the laptop where I have no information. What do you want to know about Eslicks. Since I quit the CRF list, I have been busy just working, doing genealogy, and loving my Granddaughter when the kids get here. They live 50 miles away. Since I have so many brick walls way way back, I have gone to tracing sibs of my ancestors and so forth. I have a photo, from Gate, Beaver Co., Oklahoma. It is of my great-grandparents Martha Mitchell Reece and Paley Baker Reece, of Garrison and Dickens, respectfully. In the photo, besides other family members, are an older man and woman. labeled Grandma and Grandpa Rice. We have no idea who the latter couple are. This photo was taken i 1906. Any idea of who they might have been? Could they have been from the Taney Co. area, visiting in Oklahoma? There were other folks in the Beaver Co., OK area; Roberts, Green, and more, that were from Taney Co.
