    1. RE: [MOTANEY] CHASEY, Frank, Emma and Mary 1910 census
    2. HOUK DON (CBD)
    3. Index to 1910 Taney Co,MO Federal Census compiled by Janice Soutee Looney in July 1990 shows the following: Branson Township, Family #117 CHASEY, Frank 54-IN-NJ-NJ married twice Emma 38-AR-AR-AR md once, md 10 yrs, no children Mary 12-KY-IN-KS dau (obviously by Frank's 1st wife) I only have Index to Taney Co. Marriages through 1913 and Mary's name doesn't appear. I do not have Index to 1920 Census but checked the indexes in each of the 7 Volumes of Taney County Cemetery records and there is no CHASEY name shown in any of them. Don Houk E-mail: [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: carlyn-gina [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, February 07, 2001 9:54 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [MOTANEY] CHASEY, Frank, Emma and Mary 1910 census Hi List, Frank and Emma Chasey married in Pope County, Arkansas in 1901. Their first daughter died as an infant, and they moved to Oklahoma from Arkansas, but "Em" couldn't stand the wind, and they moved on to Missouri, where they are listed in the 1910 Taney County Soundex with a daughter named Mary, 12. (I believe Mary's age is wrong, but that could be a typing error.) Please, could anyone check the 1910/1920 census for this family? Frank was around 54 in 1910 and Emma was 38. Are they listed in cemetery records there? Did Mary Chasey marry there? Did they have more children by the 1920 census? Emma was born in Arkansas, but we know nothing about Frank as he was not in the 1900 AR census. We do not have these Missouri census indexes, printed census books, or microfilms here. 3. Don, What a wonderful response to my query concerning the Chasey relatives I'm trying to find! You've saved me a great deal of time (renting microfilm, which can take 3-4 weeks to come in, and then may not be the right ones), and effort, and I'm especially grateful as I have elderly relatives waiting for me to send them my research on this branch of our family. (One's mother is 97, and she has asked me to hurry, as she'd like her mother to get to enjoy this part of our family too! No pressure here, of course!) I'm very grateful for your assistance. Carlyn

    1. [MOTANEY] 1917-1918 WWI Draft Cards Site
    2. The following came to me from another site. Good luck - by the way - this is free! The GenExchange has just begun to load the 1917-1918 World Wide I Draft Cards information at http://www.genexchange.com/draftcard.cfm The Draft included men born from 1872 to 1900 and the cards usually include date of birth, place of birth, nearest relative, residence at that time, employment, general physical description.  This could prove to be interesting for those people whose birth was never registered. It could be a year or two before the US-wide listing is completed. The Mormon's have microfilmed these cards, and they may  be ordered from any Family History Center worldwide.  Roll # 1504090 contains surnames from A to W, Roll # 1504099 contains surnames from X to Z. http://hometown.aol.com/ginaburningsky/myhomepage/business.html

    2. sigh....Don, thanks for the "trip to town". LOL I had looked too but thought maybe I had overlooked. They just disappear and Nancy never does resurface. Job is buried in Harrison Ark, but I had hoped mom Nancy had gone to Taney to be with daughter & son-in-law, George & Georgia Ann Stiffler. Nancy's disappearance is getting the better of me! What I don't know ~ will probably never know ~ is if she was killed during any of the borderland quirmishes during the Civil War. ~gina~ Visit my homepage at http://hometown.aol.com/ginaburningsky/myhomepage/business.html

    2. Gerald Johnston
    3. I am wondering if there is a possibility that Myrtle Titsworth might have been in the household with Thomas Melton, in the 1900 census for Taney Co.? It appears that there were several Titsworth folks that lived with other families. It might also be that my Myrtle had a different first name, or name on the census. I wonder if anyone knows of any that had an 'm' initial? I am trying to locate any possible information about a Myrtle Tittsworth, who married William Franklin David Reece, 7 June 1904, Christian Co., Missouri. I am wondering if she may not have been recorded on the census in a different name. I show that she was probably born around 1890. Wm. Reece died in about 1928. Myrtle rried William Minor, in 1929, also in Christian Co. Wm., Myrtle and family are on the 1910 census for Stone Co. Please let me know if you know anything about these folks. Thanks very much!
