I have been contacted by a gentleman who is writing a book on the Fredenburgs and their migration to Oregon. He is interested in talking to any Altisers in the Sullivan County area since most were descended from Peter and Matilda Fredenburg Altiser. I know you are out there since Bob was the postmaster in Pollock for so many years and my mom knew some when she went to Milan High (Go Wildcats!). So, if you would write to me, I will put you in touch with him. He is really interested in old letters, photos, etc. that might provide clues on whether Matilda ever got to see her family again after they moved to Oregon. He is also interested in what life was like around Pollock/Valapariso/Boynton in the late 1800s. (Does anyone have the address of the person selling the History of Sullivan County books? I saw it in the Milan Standard, but cannot remember when or where!) Thanks! Marsha
