Thank you to both Lema and Juanita for sending the 1880 census listing for William and Almarinda. If SKS could find these two in the 1860 Census I would be extremely happy. William C. AYERS enlisted in 1862 in a MO Cavalry unit in the Civil War. He was PROBABLY living in MO in 1860. Almarinda T. HAYNES was b. 1830 in MO so should be somewhere. William and Almarinda were married 18 Sep 1864 in Sullivan Co., MO. I found 5 HAYNES/HAINES/HANES in the 1860 census but Almarinda/Rinda was not listed in any of those. On a historical note, can someone tell how many settlers were in MO before 1830? I find it unusual that Almarinda was born in MO in that year. Wouldn't that mean her parents were some of the first settlers in the state? Corinne
