I have recently found an Elias Steele, Sophia Steele and Rachel A. Steele listed in the 1870 Sullivan Co. census. I have spent many hours trying to find Rachel Ann Oliver, who married Manuel James Morris Steele (or some combination of those names). They had these boys: James Morris, John Lemuel, Lee Oliver, Finis Maynard, supposedly somewhere in Mo. Do any of these names sound familiar?
