I would buy two for sure and maybe more if the price isn't too high.
Please count me in to purchase a reprint as well... Hi There was someone looking for some Moore's in Sullivan County. I found some. Susan
This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Frazier, Fearn Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jNB.2ACI/738 Message Board Post: I'm hoping to find information about the Henry Frazier family of Iowa who settled in the Pollock area of Jackson Township sometime between 8/24/1866 and 8/24/1884. Henry was born in Kentucky in 1837. His wife Priscilla (maiden name unknown) was born in Kentucky in 1840. Their children were: Robay (b. abt. 1861); Nancy (b. abt. 1864); Margaret Lydia (b. in Iowa before 8/24/1866); Cora (b. 3/1868); Oscar (b. 11/1872); Lawson (b. 8/1876). I'm also seeking ANY information on William Brooks Fearn (b. 1860, d. 1922) who married Margaret Frazier on 8/24/1884 in Henry Frazier's house. Their son, Adrian was born 8/12/2891
I, too would like to know if it is possible to see the surnames that are in this book? Does anyone know the surnames mention in the 2nd volume? Diane I don't have the book here with me at this time and my mom lives 5 1/2 hours away (near Sullivan County) This book is packed full of names and any early Sullivan County Pioneer is probably listed. The early marriage pages are many and the names there would take forever to list. Sorry that I don't have it in my possession at this time. Here's hoping that we can all get them to reprint it! Mary
My dad remembers that his brother and another local guy bought a car following the war. It was black and they painted the golden tallons of the 17th Airborne on the side. Does anyone out there remember seeing the car driving around Green City/Green Castle or Milan? Dad thought it might have been Tuny Kent who went in on the car with Harry. Would love to hear your memories of the 17th Airborne Car for my book! Thanks! Marsha
Hello The First Vol. of Sullivan County History has a huge amount of information in it. My mom has both copies and the first one is even more informative than the second Vol.. The second one is good also, but the first one has a good history of the early days of the county and has early marriage records along with other goodies. Both copies are prone to typos and maybe even some errors but a great foundation to start any Sullivan County researching. Count me in on any new reprinting of Vol. 1 as my mom's copy is getting worn from us both thumbing through it so often over the years! Mary
Does anyone have a copy out there that can tell all of these folks exactly what is in it? I have received over 20 responses from people that would be interested in buying one and I will follow up with it. From what I understand, we would have to have about 100 presold for them to do a reprint. Thanks to everyone who responded! I will see what I can do! Marsha
I hope the History of Sullivan County, v.1 can be reprinted. I would buy a copy.
