Doris (Martin) Ayers Ph. 874 4301. green city, Her sons name is Donald Morris Kirksville Mo. 874 4494 I dont know the area codes but thats easy enough to find. Another thing find the book History of Adair, Sullivan, Putnam and Schyler counties MO. the info you need is probably there. For each county there is a large biographical section listing the people living there at the time. Has parents + grandparents, birth places etc this is where I got the Morris info while doing my Martin lines. I dont where you live but our small library + geo society had the book. good luck. bye

But If you would call long distance to green city, mo the operator could tell you if Ayers still live there. I remember they had a son Ayers living in Kirksville, abt 35mi from green city. You might try there also. Her first name was Dorothy . Sorry cant be more help. Oh her father was James Martin from green city, and is buried in hawkeye cemt. abt 1/4 mi out of green city. Another thought, I think there was only 1 furneral home there it was Kent Furneral Home, they could also tell you whether the Ayers are still living. Green city was a very small spec in the road.

I would also ask you if you have every gone to the book HISTORY OF ADAIR, SULLIVAN, PUTNAM AND SCHYLER COUNTIES. It has a large biographical section for each county that has write ups of the people living! there and was a great help for me finding more relatives, even sometime grgrandparents birthplaces, marriages and where. It was a real treasure for my Martins. I believe the Shacklefords were memtioned. Also go to the sullivan co, home page and scroll to the deaths of the county of obits in the newspaper of the times. Can anyone tell me where Holliday > Cemetery in Sullivan County is? > > Thanks! Boy, I could drive you to it...but I cannot remember the road name it is on. I think it used to P & J highway...but am probably wrong. My grandparents farm was down at the end of it and we used to go by it everyday! It is between Pollock and Boynton, I believe.... If no one else can help, I will ask my mom tomorrow. She grew up there and will be able to tell me in detail. Actually, your best bet is to drive off of Highway six into Pollock and stop off at the Rodgers Store. Virgil and Bernadean in there can tell you. Virgil has had that store there for 56 years and knows everyone and everyplace around there like the back of his hand. Pollock is south of Unionville and north of Milan just off Highway 6...easy to get to and not really that far from the cemetery. The Rodgers Store is on the main street across from the community center...VERY small town...you cannot miss it! Good luck! Marsha
