That is EXCELLENT...although I did notice that Ronny had a few typos in our famioly information. Just on a side note. The Kents are wonderful, wonderful people. All of our family has been buried by their funeral home. They take the time to do the little touches...like driving my Grandma through Boynton on the way to the cemetery because that was where she was born. I can never say enough about Kent's...they are so caring and really take the time to get to know the families. Of course, they already DO know most of them anyway. Having Ron put this out on-line is just one more example of what giving people they are. The only problem I had with the site was that the moving background really slowed my computer down. But other than that...EXCELLENT place to go if you had family in the Green City/Green Castle/Pennville areas...and some other closeby towns as well.

George Washington Vaughn's first wife was Rhoda Thomas Wheeler, b Sept 9 1860 in Sullivan Co MO. She was the dtr of Simon Wheeler and Melinda Jane England. Simon and Melinda had moved from Monroe Co KY to Paola Co KS in the late 1850's. When Simon and Melinda died in 1862 and 1863 respectively, the sister and brother-in-law of Simon Wheeler, Catherine Wheeler and Archibald McNeese, became guardians of the children of Simon and Melinda - James Luther, Sarah J, Diana Margaret, Rhoda Thomas, and Simon P Wheeler. Rhoda Thomas married George Vaughn Apr 24 1881 in Sullivan Co and she later died Sept 29 1890 and is buried in Mt Zion Cemetery, Boynton. George went on to marry Rhoda Frazier on Oct 6 1897. She died Apr 8 1937 and George died Aug 3 1940. They are also buried in Mt Zion cemetery. Rhoda Thomas Wheeler's father, Simon Wheeler was an older brother to my ggrandfather, Richard Wheeler. The parents of Simon Wheeler, Richard Wheeler and Catherine Wheeler were Lewis Wheeler and Rhody Gentry. They were married in 1813 in Greene Co TN and moved their family to Monroe Co KY about the mid 1830's. Some of the descendants of Simon Wheeler and Melinda Jane England still live in the KS City area of MO and I have been in touch with these cousins of mine! George was a nephew to two of the lines I am researching, and your story brought up another question. LUCRETIA MARTIN and JOHN VAUGHN {brother to James, father of George W.} had a daughter CLARISSA VAUGHN [named for Lucretia's sister ] who married a WILLIAM H. MCNEESE 8 April 1877 in Sullivan Co. Is this McNeese from the same family you mentioned as guardians? I do not know much about the children, but I have traced Lucretia from NY to OH to IN to IA to MO.
