Calvin Cloud was not step-father to Alf Bowlin, more of a foster father as he and wife Mary Jane took the boy into their home after he was abandoned by his real family. See Stone County History Book Volume I, published by Stone Co. Historical /Genealogical Society, Galena, Mo.
Cheri; I have a bunch of info on the Hembrees that are tied to Chloe Mustain Hembree, from Dallas and later Cedar Counties. My gg-grandmother Johnston was Chloe's sister, Mary Jane. Hi, I am interested in any of your names as they relateto Cloud family. I know that a DeVault male married a Cloud female. Also I am interested in your info about Alf Bolin the bushwacker who killed Calvin Cloud( not his step father more like a person taken into the family after his mother left him all alone). Thank you, Mary Drake
