This type of photographer went from town to town--he had no studio. It was about the time of the Civil War. I have two pictures--one of my grandmother's mother, and one of her father. The mother is a photograph, the father is a drawing and his uniform, etc. is painted [probably water colors]. My Mother seemed to think that this was common at the time. They must be by the same person as they are each in identical carved wood frames. Marj
