    3. Jim, John was related to Dewey Short--from the Aaron Short, Willis Short, Franklin Smiley Short [who moved to Stone Co.] and then the John William Shorts. None of the previous John Williams were Senior or Junior or II, but my John was John William Short III on his birth certificate. If you knew a Short in Ponce de Leon, they were probably related--we ran into cousins all over the country! Marj
