Once it is in a computer form (even just raster form like jpeg), going to microfilm would be a giant step backwards.     3. Mike - I agree to an extent with what you say. But ~ for those who enjoy transcribing old records, them being on microfilm is invaluable. Very few county courthouses, even with their records in the computer, have them available on line for researchers. It's still an issue of "in person" access, which obviously not everyone can do. If it wasn't for all of the work the LDS church did world wide to preserve old records in that manner, many of us would now be up the proverbial creek. Anyhow, will prowl the state archives to see if per chance it might be on film.
