    3. I tried to find at least 3 people from each year, but it always wasn't possible. It appears that many death certificates were not filed, yet we have bodies in the cemetery (I realize during the WWI period that the men may have died somewhere else and were brought back to the Blue Eye area, but this doesn't account for all the women). Nevertheless, a patterned appeared. (DC = Death Certificate; Cem = Cemetery) 1910: Theadore Elizabeth Butler died and the DC says she was buried in Blue Eye Cem. The tombstone in Blue Eye says Elizabeth Butler. Josephis Fowler died and the DC says he was buried in Blue Eye Cem. The tombstone in Blue Eye says Joseph C. Fowler. Martha Jane Jones died and the DC says she was buried in Blue Eye Cem. The tombstone says Martha A. Jones. 1911: I couldn't find a DC. 1912: Isabel Davis died, however the burial place was left blank :( William Thomas Stacy died and the DC stay BUTLER Cem now. His tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says W.T. Stacy. 1913: Lois Baker died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Lois Baker. Jeanette Belle Robinson died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Jeanette Belle Robinson. 1914 & 1915: I couldn't find anyone with a DC. 1916: Mautie R. Baker died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Mantie R. Baker. 1917: James Loyd Butler died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says J. Loyd Butler. Alice Messersmith died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Alice Messersmith. 1918: Grace May Champlin died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Grayce Champlin. Janie Delila Lee died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Dilia Lee. 1919: Nancy E. Benton died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Joseph Franklin and Valera McMongle died and the DC says they were both buried in Butler Cem. The DC said he died by a suicide hanging and she died by homicide at the hands of her husband by a blunt instrument! Mae Sisk died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Henry Daniel Bowman, but he year listed on the tstone says 1920. Carlos Edwin Dodgen died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Carlis Edwin Dodgen. (The undertaker says Albert Duncan, my great-grandfather. Hmmmm. Maybe he dug the grave?) Rufus Columbus O'Neal died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Columbus O'Neal. 1922: Margaret Elizabeth O'Neal died and the DC says she was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Margaret O'Neal. 1923: Donald E. Newman died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Donald E. Newman. John W. Rhodes died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says John W. Rhodes. 1924: Willis Nelson died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says Willis Nelson James Riley Yates died and the DC says he was buried in Butler Cem. Tombstone in Blue Eye Cem. says J.R. Yates. So it looks like Blue Eye Cemetery started to be called Butler Cemetery somewhere around 1911-1912. The images for the DC are only available until 1924. It would be interesting to see how long it goes by that name. I'll have to investigate when they release more images.
