Richard & Shirley, Ok! Your Mary "Polly" Edwards married to Samuel, is Mary Dotson, a sister to Thomas Dotson who married Sarah Elizabeth Philibert in Stone Co. She was the daughter of Joseph Philibert & Peninah Yoachum, and a sister to my Charles Edward. Philibert. Thomas and Sarahs' sons, William Riley Philibert married Mary Elizabeth Edwards, daughter of Marion & Ellen. Now to Zebedee Taylor. There is a round-about connection. Zebedee's brother, Samuel McDaniel Taylor, Jr.,married to Sarah Suter, had a daughter, Martha Jane, that married John Washington Carey.Their daughter, Cynthia married Garrett Moore, the son of John Moore and Nancy Philibert. There are so many intermarriages among the different Taylors, Owens, Edwards Philiberts, Beals and so on and so forth, that children of all these marriages probably have a blood relation to us. <grin> Wilma -------Original Message------- From: Richard Edwards Date: 09/05/06 20:04:13 To: MOSTONE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MOSTONE-L] Cemetery Location Needed Wilma I believe the Sam you refer to is the Sam listed below. Note that the children were born in Arkansas. This Sam was born about 1882 and is not listed on the 1900 census with Marion. The descendants of this Sam say that their Sam is a son of Marion Edwards. 1930 STONE COUNTY CENSUS JAMES TOWNSHIP EDWARDS LUTHER HEAD 39 MO MO MO HATTIE WIFE 28 MO MO MO GLADYS DAU 3 KS MO MO HAROLD SON 1 KS MO MO 44 46 MEAD IRA HEAD 39 MO MO KS FLORENCE M WIFE 44 MO MO MO HERBERT E SON 17 MO MO MO HERMAN D SON 12 MO MO MO EDWARDS SAM HEAD 52 MO TN MO JESSIE S WIFE 51 KS IN MO LLOYD E SON 23 AR MO KS OSCAR F SON 19 MO MO KS CLIFFORD A SON 14 AR MO KS My Sam is on the 1860 Flat Creek twns with the other Edwards and Taylors. Barthina is a sister to Mack Taylor, Zebedee Taylor, and sister in law to Lucinda Taylor, widow of John Taylor. My Samuel Edwards signs an affidavit for the pension application of his cousin Jordan Taylor. I assume the Alice you mention is the Alice in Elihu's household. (Elihu is EJ on a later census and Jackson on the 1850 Jackson Co Al census where Jonas is first listed.)
