    3. Sir: I'm a historian. Somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to recall a Cross Hollow in Arkansas. It also seems to have Civil War importance. I'll look it up and let you know. I could be thinking of some other "holler."     3. The birth site was in Missouri. I don't know which County Stone or Barry. Since they lived in Grant Township, I assumed that it was in Stone County.� I am pretty sure that it was listed as Cross Holler.
