My grandmother was Lydia Mills, dau of Noah Mills and Barbara McGinnis. They were 1st cousins. Noah's parents were Marvel Mills and Hannah McGinnis. Barbara's parents were Robert McGinnis and Amanda Shipman. Robert McGinnis and Hannah McGinnis were children of James McGinnis and Sarah Dalton, who are buried at the Ponce de Leon cemetery. James was the son Aaron McGinnis and Hannah WOLFE of Hancock Co Tn. Hannah was the dau of Charles WOLFE, immigrant from Germany and his wife Susannah -unk-. Marvel Mills was the son of Joel Mills and Polly Cloud, Claibourne Co Tn. Polly was the daughter of Joseph Cloud and Jane Carpenter,(source Hazel Messenger). Joseph's line continues through William 3, and William the 2nd to the Quaker immigrant William Cloud, 1621-1702, immigrant to Pa 1682. Marvel Mills was living adjacent to Calvin Cloud on the 1860 census along Goff Creek, Stone or Christian Co. If still alive my Grandma Lyda would kill me for saying this, but the McGinnis, Wolfe, Cloud, Mills, and McCoy families were busy creating quite a DNA soup in Tn and Stone/Christian Co Missouri.
