Hi Linda! I'm actually in laws with the Edwards. My 4 th gr grandmother was Nancy Taylor Carr. She had a sister named Bethany who married an Edwards. They all lived in Jackson County, Alabama until the early 1850s. At that time everyone moved to southern Illinois. Very soon after, Nancy Carr moved with the Taylor and Edwards families to Stone County. Why I don't know. She left my 4th gr grandfather John Carr behind in Stonefort with their daughter Nancy and son in law John Abner Spence. In figuring this situation out I got a big hand from Rich Edwards of North Carolina and Shirley Carter--a frequent poster here.
